The Pharohs heart by Joseph Anikewich
I don’t think their is any greater time in history then now as we approach the holiday of passover to be reminded of a serious health condition, it’s called “the pharaohs heart” the story of the Passover shows us that God is always trying to reach the most hardened hearts and He will give signs and wonders, plagues, natural disaster, the coming against everything that is unholy or thinks they are above God to be humbled by His majesty. Yet in the story of the Pharoh he wasn’t warned once but ten times and then ultimately loss the greatest thing he cherished, not his kingdom but his first born child. As the pharoh was asked time and time again to show others mercy and compassion he refused every time he refused to exercise the gift of mercy that we all have his heart slowly got harder and harder. Seem familiar? I see hearts growing colder and colder, harder and harder as every day of quarantine exist and I fear for many that their kingdom they have placed their faith in is about to be totally ripped out from them. I fear this because this is where people have placed their hope and it is in hopelessness. The only hope we have is hearing Gods voice to show mercy, to place the blood of the lamb on the door post of our hearts and to go to the wilderness to honor and praise Him. Let my people go is the words Moses spoke over and over, and these are the words are life. Go!!!! Go and worship God… Go and honor God… Go and show compassion… Go and show mercy …. Go in faith and believe God to take you through this trial as it will pass. And as Jesus said and most important “Go and sin no more” you see Pharoh also had the chance to Go and do all those things but he continued to choose death over life. Himself over God, himself over others, himself….PERIOD….
So today you have a chance to make a choice a chance to come to God in the privacy of your home to cry out to Him and say “God I’m a sinner and I repent of my sin. I want my heart to be free of hate, anger, sin…. I want to serve your kingdom and not my own!!!”
This is the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ
He lived a sinless life
He was put to death for my and your sin
He died on the cross
He was laid in the tomb
Three days later God said “Go” and Jesus was raised from the dead.
The Bible says “For God so loved the world He have His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
And He said
Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved!
So call, call on Him today.
